Wow! What a whirlwind this month of December has been! We have been so busy with holiday parties, dinners, shopping, family events, decorating, visiting, and above all celebrating Jesus birthday! We had such a wonderful Christmas this year. We decided to stay at home for the first time this year and some of our family came up to see us! It was nice not to have to pack up clothes, presents, and dogs and just to relax, cook, bake and enjoy our kids without all of the hustle and bustle of travelling. We did go home the weekend before and celebrate with my family so that was nice too.
It was so wonderful to see our kids enjoy Christmas. Terry really got into it this year talking about Santa, his reindeer, and especially opening presents. Terry also was very intrigued with the Christmas story of Jesus birth, Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, and the Wise Men were his favorite to talk about. We kept telling him that the presents were part of Christmas but the reason for it is Jesus' birthday.
Terry's favorite things he got were his big boy bike and remote control car. Rainey Grace's favorites were her babies and four wheeler. Taylor and I exchanged gifts as well and I was sooo excited for him to open his. I got him an ECU football signed to him from Skip Holtz. He absulutely loved it! He couldnt believe I had thought of that and actually got it done:)
Thanks to all of our parents and family who understand our need to spend our Christmas here at our house and to start our traditions. It really was a Christmas I will never forget! Here are a few pictures and I am going to try and post our Christmas card later.

Such cute pictures! I am glad you guys had a good holiday. Call me soon!
So glad your family enjoyed this holiday season and remembered the most important part- Jesus's bday! Your children are so blessed to have such special parents!
I can't wait until Micah's old enough to get excited about Christmas. Your whole family is gorgeous - love RG's dress. Should Micah get a sister one day, I may have to try making one of those ;-)
So, after our hustle and bustle of driving and running here and there for Christmas, I think you made me seriously consider staying home next year! We enjoy seeing our family but boy is it a lot of work! I'm glad you guys had a great Christmas and hope you all have a wonderful New Year too!
So sweet:) I love the picture of Terry giving you the thumbs up as he rode his big boy bike!!! We'll have to get the boys together to ride around your neighborhood . . . once it warms up a bit.
