He goes to preschool 2 days a week and LOVES it! He has so much fun learning and playing with his teachers and friends. His teachers says he is on target with all developmental skills and he is a good friend and helper.
Terry loves to play outside, which we haven't gotten to do much of lately:( He got a new bike for Christmas and really enjoys riding on that. He is really into playing board games, hide and seek, playdo, I spy, and telling knock knock jokes:) His favorite games are hi ho cheerio, trouble, go fish and candy land. He loves playing but does not like losing! He is getting better though accepting that sometimes that does happen!
He loves our time when we play "school" and he practices his letters, numbers, shapes and colors. He knows pretty much all his letters and the sounds they make. Can write the letters T, E, and A. He counts to 25 and one to one correspondence to 25. He is really into drawing people and he loves to draw his family. I need to post some pics of his artwork.
He has become very independent lately. He wants to and can dress himself. He really likes to take a shower by himself, make his bed and he has even begun to hang up his clothes on hangers! He thinks it is fun and it is a big help to me!
He is definitely all boy but has a sensitive side too. He is very caring with his friends and his family. He likes to take care of and protect RG and I am crying or something he always gives me a hug and asks "mommy, what's wrong? What do you need? A hug? ok" :) What a sweetie!
Terry does not like to take his afternoon nap. So we have just begun to have rest time where he plays on his computer, reads books and does his TAG reader. Some days he does need one and I will lay down with him to get him to go to sleep. He will go to bed around 7 pm if he doesnt take a nap so he gets plenty of night time sleep.
Taylor and Terry have so much fun together! Taylor is a very hands on Dad and many days likes to take Terry to work on houses with him. I know Terry has learned so much in doing that! He has learned a lot about numbers with measuring different things and Taylor really takes the time to explain everything he asks! I am thankful that he is instilling a good work ethic in Terry as well. He is always the one to remind him to clean up his toys and put away his clothes...which a lot of times I let slide.
I love my little man so much! We have so much fun together and this age is so great! I never thought I could love someone so much but I do! I am so thankful to God for my happy and healthy children!
Terry said today: Mommy, when I grow up to be a dad I am going to marry you!
I am so glad I have this blog to share with family and friends but also for myself and children to look back on these moments in our life!
