Birthday surprise!

My birthday was Feb 1st and we had a big surprise for our family on that day. On Jan 19th we found out we were expecting another beautiful blessing! It took a little while for it all to sink in for both Taylor and I but we are so thrilled, thankful and excited for this new little one that is due in September.

So I wanted to do something fun and different to announce this pregnancy to our family. Taylor set up to meet everyone in Smithfield (which is about half way for all of us) for dinner. My dad, aunt and Taylor's parents were able to meet us that night. We had a wonderful dinner and it was time for dessert! I had a cookie cake made that said "Happy birthday to Shelley. Mommy of 3 in September!" It took everyone a little bit to actually read it but when they did it was so fun! My Aunt was crying tears of happiness and everyone else was so excited! We had just told the kids that day so they were of course excited too! It was so perfect and it was the best birthday! It is hard to imagine that 3 years before on that same day (my bday) we found out we were having a little girl! :)

When we told the kids Terry said "Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? There's a baby in your tummy?" hahaha They are both so excited to be a big brother again and a big sissy. At first RG said she thought it was a girl and T thought it was a boy. And Terry would say "But if it is a girl, I would still love her" He is so sweet. Now, they are thinking the opposite. We (me) are going to try hard to not find out he sex of the baby. Since we found out with our first 2 I feel like this would be so fun and exciting not to know!

Morning sickness and extreme tiredness started at about 7 weeks and has just gotten much better! That was a long few weeks--especially when I was not sick with T and RG. It took some getting used to! I still have to eat every few hours so that I don't feel nauseous but the exhaustion has gone away for now. I was having to take a nap every day!

I cant believe I am already almost 12 weeks. The first trimester is almost over...it has flown by! I plan on taking the kids to a few of my appts. to hear the heartbeat and to be involved. Please pray for healthy baby and mommy! My biggest prayer for our family with this new baby is that all of our kids will know and feel how special and important they are to mommy and daddy and I am going to try my hardest to do that!

September is going to be a month I know I will always remember: Terry starting Kindergarten and welcoming my third child. But, I can not wait for the future for our family and this new adventure that awaits!!
