5, 31, 20

5-This year was my fifth Mother's day! I can not believe I have been a mom for nearly FIVE wonderful years. This Mother's Day was by far the best yet!!! I really wanted to take a vacation this year for my present so we decided to go to one of our favorite places--the Pamlico River. This is our 3rd summer renting a cute little river cottage that is just perfect for our family. It has boat access, waterfront views, a beach, swingset and even a chicken coop that the kids love to visit!:) We went on Friday and even though the weather was a little chilly we spent some time by the water playing and put the boat in. That night it rained like crazy but Saturday was beautiful. We rode the boat to a nearby beach, had lunch at Backwater Jack's, then icecream by the waterfront and rode around the water while the kids napped. We were gone from 10am until 4pm! It was so relaxing...then Taylor cooked us a yummy dinner of bbq chicken, zucchini & squash, and mac n cheese while the kids and I played in the water some more. Sunday I woke up to both the kids giving me sweet cards and I even got a card from the newest Keith member signed "I love you, Mommy. Can't wait to meet you!" The sweetest! We had a nice breakfast and packed up and got back home early afternoon. Taylor's mom came to stay with us a few days and that was so great to have her here. The kids really enjoyed it:) Taylor was so sweet and took us all out to Olive Garden-my choice-even though he doesn't really like it. He really spoiled and pampered me over the weekend--I am so lucky!!!

31-The day after Mother's Day was Taylor's 31st birthday! Since his Mom was here we got to celebrate with her and we grilled out dinner and RG and I made his favorite cake, carrot cake. We played outside into the evening, ate dinner, opened presents then put the kids to bed. He had a great day with lots of love from his kids:) They are still telling him Happy Birthday! I am so thankful for him! He is such a wonderful husband, father, friend, brother and son. He is such a great support system for me and puts up with me haha! He sets a great example of a hard worker and good man to our children, which is so important. Happy birthday Taylor!

20-I am 20 weeks pregnant this week! I can not believe I am halfway through this pregnancy...wow, it is amazing how fast it has flown by. According to babycenter the baby is about 10 inches long from head to heel and about 10.5 ounces. I love feeling this little one moving, rolling and kicking. I am trying to remember and savor each day and week of this pregnancy...even with the aches and pains I am treasuring this time! We had our ultrasound of baby K at 17 weeks and everything looked healthy:) It was sooo hard not to find out the sex but we made it through with out finding out. I think it will be so fun and exciting to know when the baby is born. I am feeling good right now. You can definitely tell I am pregnant hehe. The dr. gave me some advice to try and keep my blood pressure down which includes healthy diet, low salt intake and to try and walk 30 minutes daily. I have been good about going at night and I can tell that I feel better and sleep better when I exercise. September will be here before I know it!!!
