Rainey Grace is ONE!

My little girl is one year old! I can NOT believe how this year has flown by! I can still remember the day so vividly when my doctor said that I needed to go over to the hospital to be induced asap! It all happened so fast and was such a whirlwind but I can not imagine it any different! When the doctor handed me my precious little girl my life changed forever! I now had two children that are totally depended on ME! Scary!!! I was also in awe over the blessing that God had given me to have that special mother/daughter relationship that I have wanted...
Back to RG..we had a little party here at our house on the day of her birthday (June 19th). It was cupcake themed and it was super girly and fun! The kids played inside and out and we had a good spread of food and then the kids got to decorate their own cupcake which didn't end up as messy as I had thought...yay! Rainey LOVED her cupcake. She dove right on in, literally! She was smiling and having a ball leaning in for a big bite of her cake. She opened presents and had fun watching all of the "big kids" play and have fun. It was the most perfect party for my little cupcake!
Rainey Grace is just a mess, yall, really she has her own little personality and shall I say attitude! If things dont go her way you will know about it! She is also doing a lot developmentally. Her check up at the dr was great and even though she is on the small side the dr isnt worried.
What Rainey is up to:
She is still cruising and has taken a few steps
Stands from squatting with out holding on to anything
Says: mama, dada, bubu, dog, woof woof, baby, dooo (duke)
Blows kisses
Gives kisses
Waves, claps
High fives
Tries to put shoes on lol!
Brushes her hair
Wears her hair in a ponytail (my favorite!)
Eats all solid foods and milk-I nursed her for a year...woot woot!
Sleeps 12-13 hours a night without waking and 2 naps a day
Can show one body part-her nose
She is so girly! She loves to play with her babies and give them their bottles, cover them with a blanket and carry (drag) them around. It is such a difference between girls and boys!
She also loves to take a bath and go swimming. She does not want to be in a baby float but wants me to hold her and let her "swim". She likes to lay the side of her face in the water.
I would love to say that she is a mama's girl but she adores her daddy. Whenever he walks in the room she heads stright for him laughing and squealing the whole way. She loves to have him around her to play and read books. She loves her "Bubba" (Terry) too. She is always wanting to see what he is up to and wants so bad to be a big kid and run around and get into everything.
I could go on and on but I am just so proud and thankful to be her mother and have loved this year and look forward to watching her grow into a little girl. Happy birthday Sissy!!!

An Angel Left Her Wings
© Tina M. Marascia
I have this little angel. For me she left her wings.
She has no idea how much happiness she truly brings.
She brightens up my days with her smiles and her laughs.
She helps me to remember all the blessings that I have.

Her face, it is so perfect, she's sweet and soft and pure.
Sometimes she can be willful and sometimes she is demure.
She tries her very hardest to please and do what's right.
She gives the greatest hugs from morning until night.

Every person that has known her sees this light within her soul
I know that in this whole great world, she has a special role.
She's helpful and considerate to everyone she knows
This light in her shines brighter as my angel grows.

When she sees someone is sad, it opens up her heart.
She wants to do all that she can; she wants to do her part.
She'll squeeze away the sorrow and make me forget about my pain.
She shows me where the sun is when we're hiding from the rain.

I know that God must love me, He showed me with His Grace
I knew just how completely when I saw my angel's face.
And in that very moment when she came into my world,
I knew that she was so much more than just my baby girl.

She would be my sunshine, with a sweetness that won't end.
And when she grows up one day she would be my closest friend.
She would be the reason I would always try my best.
For my little angel baby girl would be my greatest test.

When God entrusts to you an angel, who has left her wings for you.
Encircle her with love with everything you do.
Let her know God made her, and that He trusts you with her care.
Be sure to make time for special moments with her to share.

And when at night she finally says her prayers and goes to sleep
I Thank Him for my angel, and ask for him to always keep
A watchful eye and hand to protect her from this world.
Protect my little angel; protect my baby girl.
