I told my friend, Katie, I would blog about a find I got for my dad for Father's Day so I decided to just do a whole post on some things I have gotten in the past months. I love going to antique shops, thrift stores, goodwill and garage sales(if I can get up early enough:) The hunt for what you are looking for is half the fun!

Below is a great little hutch we found at a local antique store. They were asking 50 but we ended up getting it for 30! I haven't done what I wanted to with it yet. But my plans are to cover the inside backing with some black and white toile and fill it with stationary and picture albums.


These are some old wooden rolling pins I found for a DOLLAR! I have been on the hunt for some and in the local shops they between $15-22! I found them at a sort of flea market place in Ayden. I probably won't be using them as much as I like to look AT them, lol!


This is a silver pitcher that I got for $1. I just like the silver look and it is perfect for decoration.

 

This is in my dining room and I have been collecting plates here and there...one is my great grandmother's and decided to display them. I LOVE hanging plates and it is now an addiction. :)

 

This is what I found the other day for my dad for Father's Day. He collects vintage pyrex and he does not have this pattern! It all fits nicely inside the bigger piece and she was asking 35 and I got it for 30...pretty good deal!

 

I have been on the hunt for some old mason jars for my bathroom and came across these yesterday. I had searched everywhere and finally found some at my last stop at one of my favorite places, Anne's Antiques, downtown. And even better they are vintage blue with lids! She was asking $5 for each and I ended up paying $6 for both:) I filled them with sand and seashells to go with my beachy bathroom.
