Last week we decided to make a day trip to the beach with friends! It was so beautiful out and we had nothing planned since it was spring break and I am so glad we went! My good friend, Emily, and her son, Preston, rode with us and we met some of Emily's friends there to enjoy the day! The kids had a blast playing in the sand, building castles and jumping in the waves. It was a little chilly to us adults but the kids did not mind at all! RG loved laying and wriggling around in the sand and Terry loved digging in the sand and playing the drums on the sand buckets:)
We were at the beach from abou 11am-3pm and then had to make a stop for some ice cream on the way home. It was so yummy! I had a chocolate dip cone and it brought me back to my childhood!
The kids were exhausted after such a fun day...as was mommy, but it was great to enjoy the ocean and some great friends! I am looking forward to making more memories at the beach this summer:) Here are a few pictures...
