Bunk Night

We have been talking about and Terry has been wanting to put up bunk beds in his room for a while. We are lucky because the bed he has been sleeping in is part of the bunk beds that Taylor grew up with. However they did not have a rail...which was the reason in delaying us putting them up:/ Last Friday though I was ready to get them up for the kids. I had gotten new sheets and finally found the bedding I had wanted. (Let me tell you, it is very hard to find solid colored quilts for a reasonable price! Thank you, Target:) We decided that we would just put up the bed rail we had until Taylor made the rail for the bed.

So, Friday afternoon Taylor and Uncle Word worked hard getting the beds together then I got to do the fun part...putting all the bedding on! Why is that so much fun?? hehe I was also glad that we didn't have to move Terry's name that was on the wall. It worked out perfectly with the top bunk.

The kids REALLY wanted to have their first "bunk night". Rainey was so excited and so was Terry to be able to sleep in the same room. Terry LOVES the top bunk too! The first bunk night was a success and they slept in there all night....until 6AM! hehe I heard Terry waking RG up to come downstairs. They have begged every night since then to bunk together:)

I am so glad they are so close and love making these memories with them. They definetely have their moments of fighting and bickering but are the best of friends. I am so very thankful for that. Here are some pics from that first bunk night...
Since then Taylor has made the rail for his bed and even made it to where I can remove it to change the sheets--how thoughtful:)

I love hearing these sweet memories! Big brothers and little sisters are so precious to watch, listen to and grow up together. What fun times Terry and Rainey are having together:)
