This past Christmas we spent with family, friends and reflecting on Jesus' birth! For the second year in a row we decided to stay at our house and celebrate Christmas. Our WHOLE family was able to come and be with us which was sooo nice! My dad came the Thursday before Christmas and we enjoyed hanging out and having fun with him. My grandparents and Taylor's parents came Christmas Eve to eat dinner. Our sweet friends, Amber, Ryan, Avery and Riley came over for appetizers and to hang out. It was very nice and fun to have the kids together to see their excitement for Christmas. We ate a huge dinner and got the kids to bed and got things ready for Santa. Taylor's parents stayed the night and spent Christmas morning with us before leaving to spend time with Vick's family.
Christmas morning was so much fun! Terry came down to our room at around 5am and said, "Mommy, Santa came! But, there are no girly presents!!!" He didn't see any presents for Rainey at first glance and thought Santa didn't remember her! LOL! I will always remember how concerned he was for his little sister:)
We so enjoyed opening presents, seeing the smiles and hearing the laughs of our children that day. Most importantly we made time to remember and reflect on our Savior's birth! This year Terry really got into talking about Jesus birth and the time leading up to it. He learned a lot at church and school about the Christmas season and I am so thankful for that.
My Aunt came up Christmas morning to spend a few days with us. We all enjoyed our new wii which was a gift from Taylor's parents. We have all had so much fun playing and the kids are even really into it. Terry is a very good bowler and RG loves to play with her pink remote. :)
This was the most fun and memorable Christmas that I have had. I was so thankful all of our family came to see us and that they understand the importance to us to have our children at our home. Terry and Rainey Grace really enjoyed their new toys and spending time with our loved ones.
We look forward to what 2011 will bring our family!
