Taylor, the kids and I headed "home" this past weekend for a much needed visit with family. We had not been home since Christmas and that is the absolute longest I think we have ever gone. Our parents had come here to visit but it is not the same as going there.
I am a little upset because I did not take one single picture the whole time we were there! But, we just had the best time! Friday night we all went over to my dad's house and he cooked the BEST cheeseburgers and hotdogs. (it is has been a while since I had one of those) Terry had fun riding the golf cart, playing the drums and visiting with Nonna, Pop pop, Aunt Di, Me Maw, Paw Paw, Mimi and Grandad. Needless to say, he was very entertained. Everyone loved watching RG crawl, eat and smile. She has everyone wrapped around her little finger.
Saturday we went visiting in town to see Taylor's Grandaddy and his Granny. That night Patti cooked at her house and my parents and Aunt and some friends came over to eat. We had yummy steak, potatoes and salad. Terry took a good nap that afternoon and I had to wake him around 5...should have woken him up earlier because he did not go to bed until 11pm!!! Crazy! I went to bed before him! Taylor finally got him down and ended up falling asleep with him. (surprised?)
Sunday Taylor went back early and we decided to stay one more night. We hung around the house and played outside. Terry loves going on the pier and looking for fish. Grandad had his boat in so that was extra fun to be able to go for a boat ride around the lake.
That night we put the kids to bed early and Patti, my Aunt Di, and I had a nice dinner together and then watched 'Australia'. BEST movie I have seen in a long time! You have got to rent it. It was a great love story and drama. I am STILL thinking about it and want to see again. Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman were great in it.
We got home yesterday and it was good to get back but I miss home already!
*Prayer Request: My stepmom, Holly, will be having surgery this Thursday to remove some growths on her vocal chords. She will have the first surgery this week, recover for 2 weeks then have the other. Please pray for the doctor's wisdom and for her peace because I know she is nervous. Thank you!
